Aspen, Colo.—The Aspen Institute welcomes professional cyclist Lance Armstrong, founder and chairman of LIVESTRONG, in conversation with Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson. The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 in the Greenwald Pavilion on the Institute’s Aspen Meadows campus.
Seven-time winner of the Tour de France and a cancer survivor, Lance Armstrong created the Lance Armstrong Foundation in 1997. The organization is now known publicly by its brand, LIVESTRONG, and is a leader in the global movement on behalf of 28 million people living with cancer worldwide.

Since its inception, the organization has raised more than $400 million for the fight against cancer. With his continued involvement with the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the cancer community, Armstrong serves as a constant reminder that in the battle with cancer, unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything.
